Oscars Pick: Sinners

A musical tribute to my pick for The Oscars this year. From the opening notes of the score - the sound of a guitar being tuned to DADF#AD - right through this epic story about race, colonization and vampires, I loved every minute.

I've seen it three times in the cinema now (incl IMAX and 70mm) and loved it more each time. It reminded me not only why I set out to make movies in the first place, but also the power hiding in the six strings of a simple guitar.

Guitar is my first love, but I've never attempted fingerstyle like this, until I fell in love with Sinners.

An immediate entry into my top movies of all time. Whether it wins award or not it's great to see an epic genre piece like this being recognized at such a high level.
